Mitsubishi Outlander Review: new Mitsubishi Outlander designed to esctasy

The latest model of the new Mitsubishi Outlander comes in 8 trims which range from ES 2WD up to the XLS 4WD. This seven seater, four door sport utility is a carryover from the earlier model of 2007. The ES 2WD is fitted with a standard engine which has a 168 horse power and is 2.4 liter with a variable speed and automatic transmission with a standard overdrive. The XLS 4WD is fitted with 220 horsepower standard engine which is a V6 with 3.0 liter and can reach 17 mpg while driving in the city and 25 mpg while driving on the highway. It has a standard 6 speed automatic overdrive transmission.

The restyled interiors and exteriors

The interiors have been restyled with the shift knob and steering being leather wrapped, the door levers are in chrome, the door panels have been redesigned with inserts and it has been fitted with an auxiliary stereo and MP3 input jack.  The vehicle has been fitted with enhanced comforts like hands free blue tooth phone, a fob which is a keyless remote, keyless starting and entry system. Apart from this there are roof rails, tinted glass for privacy, door handles which are color keyed, door mirrors which are heated for the 4WD models, the XLS has alloy wheels of 18″ and 16″ alloy wheels.

There is air-conditioning and climate control; roof antenna, cargo are is lit up, a clock, a computer that gives details of the fuel consumption on an average, the range and immediate fuel consumption and the fuel that is remaining in the tank.

The safety specifications and features of the new 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander

The new 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander is fitted with several safety equipments for the passengers. These are the electronic stability control, daytime running lights, upper and rear adjustable belts, safety belts that are integrated, side, head and front airbags, trunk release, anchorage for lowering a child’s seat, center, rear, lap and shoulder belt,  air bag features that are advanced, traction control and monitor for the tire pressure.

Apart from all these safety features the Outlander has remotes that are multifunctional like the: Panic alarm along with keyless entry, floor mats for the rear, input auxiliary jack, power accessory, fog lights in the front and lights for driving, ignition which is keyless, the controls for the audio which are on the steering wheel, mirror adjuster for the passenger, front and rear power cup holders, whiplash protection head restraint, front and rear defoggers, headrests that are height adjustable for the front and rear and tie downs for the cargo and a warning if the door is ajar.
