Subaru Tribeca Review: Road test of New Subaru Tribeca

Everyone desires a car that provides them with a blend of style and comfortable ride at the same time. 2008 Subaru Tribeca Limited 5-Passenger can be tagged into that category. It is a vastly underrated car providing excellent luxury drive along with an exclusive exterior and interior finishing. According to most experts, this four door ride looks grand and stylish.

With 24valve and 3.6 liter H6 standard engine having 256 hp, 2008 Subaru Tribeca Limited 5-Passenger provides the car with a power to talk to the wind. Its automatic 5-speed transmission consisting of overdrive is adaptive and simultaneously is electronically controlled. There are independent suspensions at both ends along with shock absorbers and coil springs. The front suspension is strut while the back one is double wishbone type.

The steering column of 2008 Subaru Tribeca Limited 5-Passenger has a tilt with the steering itself powered and assisted by pinion variable and rack to sense engine speed. It is complemented by pre-wiring for remote-ignition and audio. There are two power outlets at the front supplemented with one at the second row and another at the cargo area. Furthermore, it boasts 130 amps alternator and a cranking battery.

2008 Subaru Tribeca Limited 5-Passenger has an equally matching braking system that includes an electrically controlled brake assistance and brake-force distribution. There are also ventilated and powered disc brakes at both the ends. Again, it has anti-lock brakes for each of the four wheels. The torque distribution to control traction is variable and its stability is controlled through ABS and power reduction from the engine to measure lateral acceleration, yaw rate and steering wheel rotation.

Keeping aside all other features, the instrumentation during the drive is also efficient. The car has battery gauge, dual-memory adjustments for driver’s side, trip computer along with an average fuel-consumption, instantaneous fuel-consumption, stop watch and importantly trip odometer. The above features are further supported by controls mounted on the steering wheel for audio, electroluminescent instrumentation, digital clock, tachometer, exterior temperature-gauge, cruise control and tire-pressure monitor.

Even the tires fitted with alloy wheels of the 2008 Subaru Tribeca Limited 5-Passenger are for all the seasons including mud and snow. The rearview mirrors are powered and can be folded along with signaling, coupled with privacy glass at the rear and the side. There are de-icing windshield wipers and sunshades situated at the moon-roof.

Safety is taken care of within the car, as it includes crumple zones both at the front and the back. It also has guard beams on the side doors. Both the passenger and driver airbags are fixed with dual-stage deployment. There are other airbags at the front sides and head-curtain airbags at the sides of the front and second row. The pretensioners at the front have force limiters while the retractors in the second row can be auto-locked.

The 2008 Subaru Tribeca Limited 5-Passenger guarantees a comfortable journey that will be cherished and complemented by you for life.
