The safety features of this new model have airbags fitted in areas where the driver and passenger need most protection. There is a driver’s knee bag, curtain airbags which are full length on the sides and airbags for the front seats.
There are many new technologies which make the handling of this vehicle much more comfortable like stability control and antilock brakes. For the government safety tests the Lancer scored five stars for the front and side impact protection for the driver. It scored a good rating even in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s for the test of the frontal impact.

Some special features and the interior design
The interiors are a contrast to the exteriors and are a sedate design when compared to the flamboyant outside. The bucket sports seats are Recaro, the foot pedals are made of alloy, the gauges are fancier than the other models. Though the seat of the driver does not have a height adjustment, the Recaro seat is much more comfortable and gives good support.
Otherwise the interiors are pretty much the same as the regular Lancer models. This new sedan has a petrol engine with a fuel consumption of 12 mpg on the highway and 10 in the city. The engine has a displacement of 1998cc, 4 cylinder, MIVEC with a maximum power of 152 bhp @ 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 19.9kgm @ 4250 rpm. The length of the vehicle is 4570 mm, the width is 1760 mm and the height is 1490 mm.
The performance of the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
The performance of this vehicle is very much like that of the sports sedans and other continental sports cars which generally cost much more. The high level performance, the driving strength, handling comfort and engine power is comparable to the best. The outer look is crisp with a wedge like outline that gives the new generation design of the Lancer a taut look.
The interiors are also classy and have an international finesse. The navigation systems and high profile Rockford Fosgate audio give the buyer a lot more than in the previous models.
