US car manufactures are going more and more green with the cars that they produce. According to a report by WhatGreenCar, the environmental rating for 2010 model cars is up 6.6%, which is more than triple last years reading of 2.1%.
This along with the newly adopted fuel efficiency rules by the US Government means that carmakers are more and more embracing the production of environmentally friendly cars.
Such changes to car production will filter through to car auctions too. As more and more consumers trade-in their gas vehicles for more fuel-efficient variants, more and more cars will become available to buy at auction. The US Government itself will undoubtedly continue to move towards using more and more fuel-efficient cars; it makes financial and political sense.
Auction buyers should take advantage and be on the look out for more and more bargains on current models and, as time goes by, environmentally friendly cars will become available at auction as well.
