You can buy a range of cars through the Miami car auctions. You can buy BMW 1 series, BMW 3 series, BMW 5 series, BMW sports wagon or any other type of car that would be suitable for you and your family through Miami car auctions. However, it pays to do some research before bidding for cars at these auctions. Research will help you find out about the quality of the car and if it is well worth the price. You can learn about the technical and other aspects of the car by doing some research. Other options where you can buy BMW’s easily and at a reasonable price are through other auctions such as government auction, police auction, online or public auction.

Such BMW’s may have been disposed by their owners and put on sale at the Miami car auction. You may have to take up a complete mechanical test of the car as it may have been used by several drivers for various tasks. Though we can conclude that buying a BMW through an auction is more sensible, it pays to take up research before bidding.

You can have a few factors in mind before deciding to go ahead and purchase the BMW. You can start a research and know about your budget and comforts available in the car that you are planning to buy. You can see if the price matches the car’s quality. You must also confirm your decision based on the car’s suitability for your needs and not just because someone is planning to buy the same. You can also decide on the brands of BMW’s you would be interested in and also check on the other models which you are going to bid for.

You can also bid for cars through the online auction which will allow you to bid for cars through the online process. This is extremely convenient as you can see the various models of cars online and decide on the one which you like the most. Seized car auction and police auction also lets you buy good quality BMW’s at reasonable prices. These cars may have been confiscated by the police or government as they may have been used for illegal purposes. The public auction, State and Federal auction and impounded sales also let you to select from a collection of cars that are exhibited under one roof. First time vehicle buyers and BMW fans can benefit greatly by buying cars through such auctions. Car dealers also find the Miami car auction to be very useful as they can circulate the old cars in their hold by finding purchasers easily.

You can easily find out more about where BMW’s are offered for sale in Miami by looking for such details in the classified ads section of your local newspaper. The local government office in Miami can also give you details on where the next auto auction in Miami is going to be held. Government car auctions are also fairly common in Miami where you can easily find a BMW for sale other than repossessed or used cars of other brands and models.

This luxury 2008 BMW 5 Series 550i Sedan belongs to the group of sports sedans that have 4-doors and are available in these trim levels: 550i, 353xi, 535i, 528i and 528xi. These trim levels have a 6 speed steptronic that gives the person three options of driving modes which are suitable for various conditions of traffic and driving. These three modes are drive, sport and steptronic. The “drive” mode is suitable for city driving, the “sport” for faster driving and the “steptronic” permits shifting without the use of a clutch.

The interiors and exteriors of the 2008 BMW 5 Series 550i Sedan

The interiors of these 5 series sedans are luxurious and have an identity of their own. The surfaces are made of cow hide and chrome while the exteriors make the vehicles appear tough. The car itself is a sleek model with chrome which adds to the outer appearance, making it look like a tough one on the road to deal with. It is the outer appearance that gives it this “dark” menacing look while the interiors are luxurious and glamorized.

The various characteristics of the Sedan

Whatever the driving preference of a person be like a rear wheel drive or an X drive, the steering and suspensions match the performance and the luxury of this 5 series. The dynamic stability control of this vehicle can cope with any kind of hazard on the road like traffic which is unpredictable, weather which changes suddenly and road conditions which are not always the best like slippery or snow bound roads. The car steers you safely through all these conditions with the dynamic stability control.

The fuel economy is another aspect which is worth mentioning. These luxury vehicles are at 17-18 mpg while in the city and at 27 mpg when driving on the highway.

Safety aspects for the passengers of the Sedan

For night driving there are infrared sensing cameras fitted to the front of the vehicle with which one can identify objects that are otherwise not seen because they are hidden by the darkness. This new equipment for night vision has made driving at night very safe and comfortable and the drivers need not be uncomfortable because of lack of proper visualization in the dark.

The safety system for the passengers of the 2008 BMW 5 Series has a full array of airbags which adds to the safety system and protection from the impact of an accident especially for the head.

The 2008 BMW 5 Series are a combination of luxury and road worthiness and offer the best possible comfort to the traveler.

The biggest advantage of a 2008 BMW 5 Series 535xi Sports Wagon is that it gives you all characteristics of a sedan but with easily thrice the capacity for cargo. This is the perfect family car for outings and excursions as it can carry the whole family and all that each one wants to take along. The cargo capacity is 17.6 cubic feet in the 535xi Sports Wagon as compared to 14 cubic feet in the Sedan of the 5 series. However this increases to 58.3 cubic feet when the seats in the rear are folded. While the rear seats are up the cargo area is covered. All these maneuvers are powered and can be operated with the push of a button.

Driving and seating comfort

Everything can be controlled from the panel board which looks and feels similar to an aircraft’s controls. Right from cruise control to various other aspects like turn signals and wipers are all controlled with buttons. The read outs on the panel like the fuel control and odometer are also controlled by buttons on the signal stalk.

To add to the driving comfort the technology used makes it so much simpler in small ways, like the starting of the vehicle does not require a key. There are simple maneuvers with the key fob in your pocket which opens doors and starts the engine.

The seating, both in front and at the back is extremely comfortable with the seat extensions that give support to the back and the thighs. The seats in the front are almost similar to easy chairs and give good support to the back.

The manual mode for transmission need not be used at all as the automatic modes are very accurate even while driving on rough terrain and winding roads. The 230 horse power, which is the capacity of this wagon, is transmitted automatically to the rear wheels by the streptronic transmission. The shifter, with its three positions, though simple needs a little getting used to.

Passenger comfort appliances

The temperature control HVAC system maintains the temperature at a comfortable level quickly. The sound system is another one that is excellent and once switched on the passenger would be reluctant to put off. The sunroof to let light into the vehicle is large and there is one for rear passengers and one for those sitting in front.

Over all the 535xi Sport Wagon would be a dream vehicle to own. The vehicle has all the features that anyone would want or need in a vehicle which are its cargo capacity, comfort and the power. This vehicle also has the all wheel drive feature if and when required.

Technical specifications of the BMW 535xi Sports Wagon

Cargo volume: 17.6 or 58.3 cu. ft. as per the position of the rear seat

Engine: 3litre with six inline
Torque/Horsepower: 230horsepower @ 6500 r/m
Transmission: Steptronic automatic along with non-auto/manual mode, 6-speed
Wheelbase: 113.6 in.
Tires: P245/4 0R 18
Economy: 16 mpg city or 24 mpg highway or 18.2 mpg test
Fuel capacity: 18.5 gal.
Length x Width x Height: 191.2 x 72.7 x 58.7 in.

The new 2008 BMW 5 Series 535xi Sedan is an exciting introduction into the motor car world which every car enthusiast would like to own for himself. This luxury vehicle is the smoothest and most powerful, sleek four wheeler on the road today. Based on the reviews that have been published after going through the test drives, the BMW 5 Series has been ranked topmost amongst the leading eleven large luxury cars on safety and reliability features.
The 550i Sedan is set with a regular V8, 4.8-liter, engine that is 360-horsepower engine that reaches 15mpg while in the city and 22 mpg driving on the highway. Like the 528i Sedan, there is an option of an automatic 6 speed transmission and a standard overdrive manual transmission which is also 6 speeds.

The BMW series is out to take the auto world by storm. This is one series which excels in almost all areas and gets the nod from critics. The 5 series surpass expectations in the road test. We can safely say that the 5 series sedans from BMW are nearly the perfect sedans we can wish for. The original launches in 2003 were quite okay but this new series has almost everything that an average customer would want and much more. The 5 series Sports sedans from the BMW stable are quite similar, with subtle differences. But the overall design, performance and comfort are appreciable in all the models.

We focus our attention on the 2008 BMW 5 Series 535i Sedan, a twin turbo sports sedan that has been well received in the market. The smallest change comes with the engine numbering, which is only natural since the engine design itself has changed from the original. The pricing is not quite steep, at about $50,000, if you check out the performance, safety features and of course, the comfort interiors and stylish exteriors.

Performance

The 535i is a 4 door sports sedan. Among the various sedans in the 2008 BMW 5 series, the 535i is the speediest model. Thanks to the twin turbo 6 cylinder engine with 3.0 liter capacity, the car performs and how! This is a much anticipated improvement with about 45 hp increase on the original 530i. The 300 hp engine does away with the need for v8 or manual transmission. The car reaches 60 mph in 5.5 seconds flat. One other point that deserves applause is the excellent braking system which allows you to stop the car from any high speed level in quick time. Also, the car accelerates excellently and very quickly, leaving the driver delighted. The degree of driving control is worth of mention and the car delivers a smooth drive. The 6 speed automatic transmission could be a trendsetter for future cars in the medium sports sedan category.

Extra features

There is an optional Sports Package for serious sports drivers. As far as interiors and exteriors are concerned, the car makes you go wow. The seats are comfortable and even the rear seats are adult size. In short, the sedan combines the small size of sports cars with the comfort of a luxury car, which is exactly what the market needs now. For about $2,100, one can opt for automatic dimming and approach light system, as well as garage opening mechanism and luxurious leather upholstery, all of which are included in the Premium Package. Subtle improvements like the LED tail lights and newly designed innovative front of the car deserve mention.

But one thing that does not go down so well with the user is the iDrive, which is meant to ease navigation but is actually far too complicated for the average driver to control.

Verdict

The car is a beauty when it comes to design, safety and performance but needs to rethink the iDrive system. Affordable, and the optional enhancements are plenty and diverse, making the car a success.

The wait has been worth it. BMW fans can rejoice because the new 528xi redefines the concept of a sports sedan in style! Luxury has been moving from the larger cars to the smaller cars as well and BMW has mastered the art of luxury in small with this medium size sports sedan that beats competition by a mile.
Several revisions to the earlier models have been brought out in the present launch. But yes, the originality of the luxury sedan has been retained to a great extent. Improvisation has been made in several areas, like the revised interior design, the improvement on the exterior as well as some pulling power enhancement to the existing 6 cylinder engine in the original. The initial 2003 model was named 525i and this model is renamed as 528xi. The 2003 launch was quite good, but this 2008 BMW 5 Series 528xi Sedan is even better in most departments.

A sports sedan calls for a lot of power, steering control and excellent brakes system. The 2008 BMW 5 Series 528xi Sedan easily passed the road test, excelling in all these areas. The car also has optional automatic transmission in addition to the existing manual transmission. The engine excels, with its 3 liter capacity and a horsepower of 250 with its 6 cylinder system. With the unique all-wheel drive system, the car offers relief from the front wheel and rear wheel driven models that we are familiar with.
The standard features in the 5 series include the automatic climate regulation, the leather upholstery, the automatic wiper and headlights, sun roof and 17 inch wheels. But new additions include an assist system that’s popular with BMW, as well as an iDrive system which is somewhat complicated to use for navigation control. The assist Telematics are okay, but the iDrive is not something we would greatly appreciate.

The 5 series offer exciting exteriors, with a new design for the front and LED controlled tail lights. The interiors are good, with optimum technology for superior seating comfort. Keyless control, Active Cruise control, excellent steering and night vision make the 2008 BMW 5 Series 528xi Sedan a must have. The airbags are very efficient and the Sports Package is an option for the driver.
The stability control mechanism is an essential safety feature of the 5 series. Front impact protection is terrific with the 2008 BMW 5 Series 528xi Sedan, but it ranked a little lower in the side impact protection when a road test was taken. As far as driving power and comfort go, the car scores well. But some complications like the difficult iDrive feature have to be worked upon. In all, the car is quite affordable and ranks good on design and driving power and balance. The ergonomic design saves energy and the driver can save on fuel consumption. It is very good in maneuvering through heavy traffic. But the new BMW 5 Series 528xi Sedan could do with some more improvements in the navigation control system.

The hallmark of the much appreciated New BMW 5 Series 2008 is the excellent styling and improvement in performance. The wagons and sedans of the BMW 5 series beat competition by a mile with the chic styling and comfortable interiors. BMW has aimed right with the medium size luxury car model which many users were waiting for. As expected, the new 5 series, be it the 528i, the 535i or others have combined luxury with small size very effectively. The new 5 series proves that bulk does not mean luxury and that small does not mean lack of room. The 2008 BMW 5 Series 528i Sedan is surely a success in the market.

Excellent performance

The 5 series have made one remarkable improvement over the original medium size models launched a few years back. The 6 cylinder engine is a runaway hit in terms or performance and acceleration. 528i is the first in the 5 series. This 2008 BMW 5 Series 528i Sedan is a revamp of the original 525i BMW model. It is a medium size luxury sedan which actually performs like a sports car. This means the driver can have the best of both worlds! The car gives excellent acceleration in the road test. In fact, the 2008 BMW 5 Series 528i Sedan performs efficiently in the city at about 17 mpg and on the highway, it performs up to 28 mpg ( miles per gallon), making it an optimum fuel saving medium sedan.

The 230 hp engine with 3 liter design is certainly capable of delivering speed when required. The engine is magnesium/aluminum. The fun quotient is obvious with the unique styling of the exterior and the reduction in car size as compared to regular luxury sedans. All the changes are very subtle and one cannot quite observe the difference at first glance. BMW calls it a significant freshening move. The power boost is terrific and this sets standards of sorts.

Control and safety

The new 5 series from BMW have passed the safety test with flying colors, although side impact protection could be improved. The stability control mechanism and the brakes are very good and the drive is smooth and comfortable even on bumpy roads. The car is excellent for winding through congested roads and heavy traffic. The wheels are in top shape and the car can pass for a great sports model. There are optional Sports packages and the Premium package (with Dakota leather upholstery) comes at a slightly extra cost.

Though the car is medium size the rear seats are also adult size and the interiors feel very roomy. The sunroof, the Automatic cruise control, the homogenous lighting, the multi contour seating (20-way), the Active roll Stabilization are some of the other significant features. But yes, the much awaited navigation control disappoints. iDrive system is definitely not acceptable as it is way too complex!

Verdict

Fancy and fun, the car does not compromise on luxury or excitement. With some unnecessary features but mostly very good enhancements and terrific performance, the 5 series is refreshing.

Luxury is redefined with the 1 series from BMW. The luxury car manufacturer has now introduced the latest car series from its stable. As always BMW never disappoints. The new 1 series is exciting, luxurious and yes, well designed. It is obvious that BMW has put maximum efforts into this series. User reviews have given the series a thumbs up, but let us see for ourselves what this series has on offer, especially the 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe 135i.

Good looks

Touted to be a legend of sorts in the smaller size luxury car segment of the market, the 1 series coupe from BMW is a trendsetter of sorts. The convertible, especially with the cloth top has been well received and this has reduced the overall weight of the car as well, which would be higher with a hard top cover. Although a luxury car model, it has a sporty feel to it because of the rear wheel drive mechanism, which is one great design. The interiors are cozy, although the backseat is a little short on space and cramped. This could be ideal for a solo drive down a highway but slightly uncomfortable for occupants of the backseat. The model also has a Sports Package if needed. Pearl gloss finishing adds sheen to the surfaces. The convertible also has a great sun reflective leather setup to cool down the seats in hot weather. This is a good innovation.

Driving force

The engine has the twin turbocharged feature and is 6 cylinder and 3 liters (inline). It comes with a standard M aerodynamic kit. The torque is also good, with 300 lb-ft and yes; the 300 hp also deserves a mention. But the pulling power could have been higher. 155 km/hr is the top speed as tested by experts. The car achieves acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 5.3 s. the engine coolant works well to save fuel while achieving high speeds. The steering offers good control over the entire drive. Testing BMW 1 Series coupe, we find that a long ride is smooth and comfortable in the 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe 135i.

New technology

The plush interiors, combined with some top class features like great suspension, transmission and safety features. The model has Dynamic Stability Control mechanism and head protection system for airbags as well. The brake system is simply excellent. But we could manage without the distracting iDrive. The M enthused components work well. Harmonized lighting system is ensured with LED technology.

In all, the car combines some really good interiors with good engine features. BMW has succeeded once again in bringing out a luxury car that wins appreciation from critics even. Its pricing is not too much if you consider the value for money. Slightly smaller than your average luxury car, the 1 series 135i coupe could do with some improvements here and there. But overall it makes for a good luxury and sports convertible for anyone who wants to drive in style.

Say BMW and say luxury and sheer style. But BMW has not yet disappointed the serious car enthusiast and the new 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe 128i also has the qualities that would delight BMW lovers. But there has been a change of a different sort in this new unveiling, or so it seems. The notion that ‘big means luxury’ is slightly outdated. Apparently, BMW has also taken to this new concept of luxury in small. The 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe 128i has a lot to say in favor of this new trend. It shows off its new design in an attempt to outshine its bigger cousins from the BMW family.

The smaller BMW model is here to weave through difficult traffic comfortably. Is the BMW 1 series good enough in most areas? Let’s take a look. As for a comfortable ride, this car wins, with its solid vibration resistant frame. This model has a rear wheel driving design and this works with regard to control of the car. With stability monitoring, traction control and automatic (6 speed) transmission, pressure control system, the car seems to have it all.

Currently, the engine design stands at 3 liter, 6 in Valvetronic mode, 220 lb-feet, and 300 hp. Alloy wheels spice up the car’s look. As for other major design qualities together with the improved EPS, the car has good automatic climate control, power windows, telescope or tilt wheel, good wipers. It makes for a good convertible for the driver with its utility cloth top that also saves space.

On a road test, the car launches into 100 kmph in just 6.9 seconds. The driver can have a great degree of control over the steering and the drive is smooth. The series in general could do with some more power, though this particular model has an additional assist for its mileage enhancement. The assist comes in the form of hydraulic power in the U.S release of the 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe 128i. The car has some other great features like the Sun reflective technology which can cool down your hot leather seats in summer for a comfortable drive! It also has a trim LCD panel for display if you want. But yes, the 1 series is surprisingly bigger than expected, although in the mini range only.

BMW seems to have worked on a mini series with all its heart and soul and here is the result. Size has nothing to do with luxury and that is confidently stated by the new design of the 2008 BMW 1 Series Coupe 128i. Its design spells luxury. Or does it? Sources reveal that the backseats seem to be slightly cramped. The same goes for the cargo area. And lack of room is not so luxurious for the classy car enthusiast. But all said and done, this new model from BMW certainly deserves the attention, as the new concept of luxury storms into our lives yet again. It is certainly a delight to drive.
